Willington on the Way October-2025
Hi everyone,
Well, October has arrived, and it gives us a moment to pause and look back on what has been accomplished over the past three months.
With the hard work of our dedicated volunteers here in Willington, and the generous donations of our supporters, we have achieved so much in July, August, and September. Together we:
Installed a new sign on Route 81
Replaced four windows in the Bookshop and Annex
Added 19 new bookcases in the Mystery Building, creating a new Young Adult section
Transformed the old bank building into a warm and comfortable reading room
These are remarkable accomplishments for such a short time, and each one reflects the spirit of teamwork, generosity, and love for this community.
As we step into October, I would like us to take a breath and look ahead at what remains before us. The biggest project on our horizon is repairing the roof. This will be a large undertaking, and my hope is that we will continue to have the same gracious supporters and faithful donors who have carried us this far. I am currently gathering a list of contractors who understand the unique needs of our historic buildings, and I feel confident that together we will find the right path forward.
Above all, I want to offer my deepest thanks to our volunteers and our volunteer managers. None of this could have been accomplished without your dedication,
creativity, and spirit of service. It has truly been a blessing to work alongside such a wonderful team here in Willington.
(We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.)
